Walking on Water

One of the most amazing feats that Jesus did was when he walked on the water towards the boat of the apostle amidst the large waves cause by strong winds on the lake. What is equally amazing was that he enabled Peter to do the same.

A mere man doing the same thing as the Lord, an act that defies explanation to the amazement of the other apostle Peter boldly stepped out of the boat upon the call of Jesus. As Peter slowly moved towards Jesus, all the while his eyes was set on Him, it was his sole desire to be with His Lord. But when He felt the strong winds blowing harshly against him, he momentarily took his eyes from his goal and glance upon the waves. This allowed the enemy to plant seeds of doubt upon him. The situation he was in terrified him, he saw what the world saw and he had accepted the worst probability of his fate. He looked around and then looked at himself. He must have asked himself in that brief moment, “How am I able to do this?” Slowly he began to sink the winds and the waves started to eat him up. As he cried, “Lord save me” Jesus lifted him out of the situation he was in.

Often times we go through situations in our lives that we are saddled with problem and struggle. These are like strong winds and waves that bashes against us, eating us up. We try to fight but it continuously overcomes us. Just like Peter, when he looked at his capabilities and the situation he was in, he resigned to the fact that he was incapable of handling the pressure. To think that, he was the one who boldly dared Jesus to allow him to be placed into that dilemma.

It is when we are focused on pursing the Lord and when all our effort is dedicated in attaining that relationship and fellowship with our Lord that all the struggles, problems, and pains seems to just pass us by.

We must then realize that it is the Lord who sustains us and lifts our feet on top of the waves and shields us from the strong winds...

I am currently working on a series which will be entitled "Purpose Living Series", which will tackle subjects relating to Faith, Finances, Gender Issues, and Work.
These topics just like my 1st book, "Key to Loving your Enemy" hopes to impart to its reader an understanding of themselves in God's ultimate design.

CHRISTIANITY, "True to its meaning"

Christians are often defined as a person who believes, trust, and has faith in God. A person who follows Christ.

But still we see that most of those who claim to be Christians do not exemplify the true meaning of Christianity.

Where then lies the hypocrisy of this claim? A lot of people claim to be Christian but if you closely look at the way they live their lives especially when they are not in a church setting and all the more when they are alone or in anonymity, you would say that they do injustice to the name of our Lord. Could this be a case of schizophrenia? Where-in people live two lives while in church they act as if they truly are followers. But upon leaving the church they get back to the normality of everyday lives. It is as if they have only visited God and has left him at the place they encountered Him. God seems to be confined in an institution where his people choose to visit Him once a week. We have limited the role of Christ in our lives as someone we claim to believe but still there are a lot about Him and of His teaching we doubt and have not fully resolved. We claim to trust Him but still a lot has been done to nullify the sacrifices that Jesus did for us by taking it upon ourselves to make our own way towards God’s redemption. Yet we still claim to have faith in Him but lack the hope through His words to hold on to.

Having Doubt in ones heart diminishes Belief. Having little or no knowledge as to the nature of a person makes trusting the same very hard. And Faith is not something that you conjure up inside you but it is something that is first initiated by a word of hope for which you will then hold on to. Therefore, one needs to take all doubts from their heart and believe. Then get to have an intimate relationship with our Lord to be able to fully know Him and trust Him. Then immerse ourselves in the word of God to attain words of Hope and promises that our faith can hold on to.

But still the true meaning of the word Christians as the suffix “ians” connotes when it is used in such words as Ephesians, Corinthians, Thessalonians and the rest of the “ians” which simply means people living in Ephesus, Corinth and Thessalonica respectively. Christians simply means people living in Christ and Christ living in them. So therefore Christ must always be within us and not just among us....

Key to Loving your Enemy

A lot of us struggle in this teaching of Jesus on loving your enemy. It is easier said than done. How can you start to think of loving somebody who does you wrong or have hurt you in one way or another?

Indeed, it is very hard to think that this person whose words or deeds have driven you to anger will be a recipient of your love and kindness.

But let me share with you an easy way to start to love your enemy.
